본 논문에서는 다중 전송률을 지원하는 게이트 웨이를 무선랜과 같이 주어진 네트워크 환경에서 보다 효과적으로 배치시키는 기법에 대해 연구한다. 본 논문을 통해 주어진 네트워크 상의 각 노드들이 최대 처리량을 형평성 있게 달성할 수 있는 재귀적 분할-전이 기법을 제안한다. 분할-전이 기법은 게이트웨이들의 위치 선정 과정이 기존의 연구들에 비해 쉽고 간편하며, 보다 낮은 시간 복잡도를 제공함으로써 노드의 수, 이동성 등을 고려하는 복합적인 상황에서 실시간으로 배치 위치를 계산해 낼 수 있다. 자신이 이동할 방향과 거리를 결정하는 분할 단계와 최대 성능 향상을 제공하는 위치로 이동하는 전이 단계를 통해 기법이 동작한다. 본 논문에서는 정적인, 또는 이동성을 갖는 노드들이 존재하는 네트워크 상황을 상정하여, 시뮬레이션을 통한 분할-전이 기법의 성능을 평가한다. |

(English Abstract) |
In this paper, we deal with an effective gateway placement scheme in multi-rate wireless networks. The proposed scheme utilizes the recursive partition-shift that makes each node be able to achieve its throughput through the maximization of the utility function of each gateway with the consideration of fairness. The partition-shift scheme provides the simple and easy way to choose the intended positions for the gateways by the decision of moving direction and length (partition) and the movement to the selected position maximizing the utility improvement (shift). Since the proposed scheme has low time-complexity, it is more applicable for complex situations such that the number of nodes and their mobility must be jointly considered. In this paper, we show the feasibility of the proposed scheme by the simulation considering static or mobile nodes.
